Adam David Berhorst, 43, Westphalia, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born Jan. 6, 1981, the son of Roger Dale “Butch” Berhorst and Sharon “Kaye” (Ross) Stacy in Jefferson City.

He was a 1999 graduate of Fatima High School, attended Nichols Career Center’s Construction/Building Trades program, and was a 2002 graduate of Linn State Technical College with a degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management.

Adam was united in marriage to the love of his life, Susan Alison “Ali” Kaiser June 23, 2007, on the beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

He had a love for work starting at a young age, whether it was farming, construction, or anything with his hands.  Currently, Adam was the owner/operator of Complete Custom Homes, LLC where he and his crew made many clients’ dreams of owning a beautiful custom home come true.

Adam was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia. 

He enjoyed spending time on his farm and loved hunting and fishing, especially with his boys. Adam was a true family man that loved spending as much time with Ali and the boys as he could.

He was preceded in death by sister, Angela Kaye Berhorst; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Evelyn Berhorst; and maternal grandparents, Sharon and Carol Borron and Charley Ross.

Adam is survived by wife, Ali Berhorst of Westphalia; sons, Chase, Sam and Will; mother, Kaye Stacy and husband Lynn of Jefferson City; father, Butch Berhorst and wife Robin of  Jefferson City; father and mother in-law, Bob and Susie Kaiser of Lake Ozark; step-siblings, Katelyn Daugherty and daughter Autumn and Logan Daughtery and wife Brooke and daughter, Natalie; sister-in-law, Dru Lindsey and husband Brett and children, Grant, Nate and Reese; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and countless friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. (today) Wednesday, July 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Dylan Schrader officiating.  The Mass will be live-streamed on the church’s Facebook page.

Following Mass, family and friends are invited to attend a life celebration reception at the Westphalia Knights of Columbus. Those unable to attend the Mass are encouraged to attend the reception.
