Chamois won its third straight match on Sept. 24 after defeating Missouri School for the Deaf (MSD) in straight sets, 25-2, 25-6, 25-12.

“This was a great team win overall to continue our winning streak,” said Coach Jack Rigdon.

Kendall Mitchem finished with an impressive 92% serve rate with 17 aces on the night to lead the team. Raigen Cramer added nine as Emma Mehmert posted seven to go with a pair of assists. Brie Keilholz counted six aces with an assist and a dig, and Savanah Sieg added two aces and one assist to the mix. Nora Wideman rounded out stats with four digs and three assists.

On Monday of last week, Chamois beat New Bloomfield, 25-15, 25-17, 25-12.

“I was proud of the effort our ladies showed with having a shutout win,” said Coach Rigdon. “That was the first time all year we had done that, and I was proud of that aspect. There’s still a lot of room for improvement on little things. I loved the effort the ladies showed with having only six players. I’m starting to see a lot of leadership from some of our players, and we are starting to get some things to click.”

Stats — Mitchem (7 aces, 4 digs, 3 assists), Sieg (4 aces, 5 digs, 4 assists, 2 kills), Mehmert (2 aces, 5 assists, 2 digs), Keilholz (2 aces, 3 assists, 2 digs), Cramer (1 ace, 7 digs, 4 assists, 1 kill), and Wideman (4 digs, 3 assists).
