The phrase Trojan Horse comes to us from Greek mythology. The story is mentioned briefly in the Odyssey, an epic poem attributed to Homer from the 8th or 7th century BC. The poem was first published in English in 1614.
In the story, the Greeks sail away after a fruitless 10-year siege of Troy. Before their departure, they leave a gift at the gates of Troy—a large wooden horse. Inside the horse, a select group of warriors is hidden.
After the leaders of Troy pull the gift into the city, the warriors emerge after sundown and open the main gates, allowing the Greek army inside, and Troy falls.
Wikipedia says a “Trojan horse has come to mean any trick or stratagem that causes a target to invite a foe into a securely protected bastion or place. A malicious computer program that tricks users into willingly running it is also called a Trojan horse or simply a Trojan.”
A Trojan horse can also mean something that is a fraud concealed from the public.
This is the strategy that Democrat Presidential candidate Kamala Harris is currently undertaking. Who can blame her? It is working, for now.
Harris is now presenting herself at campaign rallies as a middle-of-the-road moderate. That is the wooden horse.
As reported in Newsweek.com on Aug. 11, 2020, GovTrack.us, a nonpartisan Congress tracker rated Senator Harris as more liberal than Democrat socialist Senator Bernie Sanders.
Harris’s hidden self — a true socialist — is revealed in the statements she made before running for President and in her policy positions.
On Feb. 7, 2019, self-described socialist New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced the Green New Deal (GND) in Congress. Harris was one of its most prominent supporters and one of 14 senators to co-sponsor the plan in the Senate.
This bill called for the end of gasoline-powered cars, oil, coal and natural gas in just 10 years. That is just the beginning. The GND also included these socialist policies: the creation of a system of public banks, trillions in wind and solar, plus the transformation of U.S. agriculture, including an end to much of the cattle industry. The cost for the GND is estimated at $94 trillion, according to the American Action Forum.
This money would presumably come from more printing of money — causing inflation — higher taxes and debt.
Another socialist policy Harris has promoted is “Medicare-for-all.” When she ran for the Democrat presidential nomination in 2019 this was one of her top priorities.
A study by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University concluded that Bernie Sanders’ “Medicare-for-all” plan would cost taxpayers $32 trillion over 10 years. Harris’ plan in 2019 was very similar to Sanders.
In a speech last Wednesday, Harris again showed her socialist/communist agenda when she called for federal price controls “on food and groceries” in an attempt to stop “big corporations” from taking advantage of consumers.
On Friday, Scott Jennings, a CNN commentator, said, “If you like bread lines, product shortages, black markets, hoarding, if you want to recreate the happy economic conditions of ‘The Walking Dead,’ then Harris has a plan for you.”
Senator Sanders supports Harris in this policy, while the liberal Washington Post editorial board calls it “populist gimmicks.”
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the largest socialist group in the U.S., recently celebrated Harris’ choice of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. The DSA also took credit for Harris’s choice of Walz, who recently said, “Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values. One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.”
In trying to present the wooden horse instead of her true self, Harris has changed her stance on five major policy issues since 2019: mandatory assault rifle buybacks, fracking, immigration, health care, and a federal jobs guarantee.
In 2020, Joe Biden claimed he would bring the nation together and govern from the middle, now Harris is running on the same lie.
Harris is a Trojan Horse candidate. She wants the voters to invite her into the White House, where she will use a socialist agenda, taking away our liberty and freedom.
